Rebel Netters Head to New Orleans this Weekend

OXFORD, Miss. -- Several members of the No. 5 nationally-ranked Ole Miss men's tennis team will be participating in the Tulane Invitational Tennis Tournament this weekend at the Goldrig Tennis Center in New Orleans, La.
The tournament fetaures a 16-player flight "A" and a 16-player flight "B" singles draw. Doubles will consist of two divisions of eight teams. There will be a consolation draw for first round losers.
The field also includes players from 20th-ranked Virginia Commonwealth, 34th-ranked Tulane, 18th-ranked Middle Tennessee State, 35th-ranked Arkansas and New Orleans.
In flight "A" singles, Rebel netter Vikrant Chada will face Olle Lundberg of VCU in the first round Friday at 9:00 a.m. Barry Hassell of Vicksburg, will meet second-seeded Robert Samuelsson of Tulane in the first round at 10:30 a.m.
In flight "B" singles, David Blackburn will square off against Mark Pellerin of MTSU at 9:00 a.m. in a play-in, with the winner getting Tulane's Chip Kelly at 2:15 p.m. Ben Cousins plays Belal Hamadeh of MTSU in a play-in, also at 9:00 a.m., with the winner to face Barat Ugyar of UNO at 1:00 p.m.
Chada and Hassell will team up in flight "A" doubles against Mark Dominguez and Ahkeil Baz of UNO, while Cousins and Blackburn will play James Wall and Scott Pilloff of Tulane in flight "B" doubles.
