Softball Sweeps Kentucky

OXFORD, Miss. -- Sophomore Amanda Fine surrendered only one run in a complete-game, four-hitter in the first game, and junior Kari Ceriani gave up only three hits in five innings in the second contest as the Ole Miss fastpitch softball posted a doubleheader sweep over Kentucky Saturday by scores of 2-1 and 5-3.
The Rebels ended a 10-game losing streak as Ole Miss improved to 6-0 all-time against the Wildcats with the two wins Saturday.
"I was really proud of the way our team came back after losing twice to Tennessee yesterday," Ole Miss head coach Joyce Maudie said. "Kentucky came in here on a roll and we really had to battle with them in both games. It was two good wins for our team."
