LOS ANGELES -- Celeste Frey of the Ole Miss women's tennis team lost to Julie Ditty of Vanderbilt in the final round of qualifying at the Riviera All-American Championships Wednesday. She and Mariana Eberle also bowed out in the doubles.

Frey, seeded 9-16, took the first set over top-seeded Ditty 6-0, but dropped the second and third sets 6-2, 6-2. Ditty defeated Frey for the third time this year. Ditty is ranked No. 23 in the nation and is Vanderbilt's No. 1 player.

In the doubles, Frey and Eberle dominated Veronica Goude and Urska Radanovic of UNLV 6-1, 6-1 in the first round, before falling to Michelle Dasso and Jennifer Hall of Notre Dame 7-6(6), 6-4 in the second round.

Ole Miss will have two players in the main draw singles, which begins Thursday and one team in the doubles field. Agnes Muzamel and Ivona Mihailova are in the 32-player singles field, while Muzamel and Courtenay Chapman are in the doubles.

Muzamel was a finalist at the All-American two years ago and a quarterfinalist at last year's tournament.
