NORMAN, Okla. – The No. 38 Ole Miss women's tennis team came up short as it fell, 4-3, against No. 14 Vanderbilt on Thursday afternoon, ending their stint at the 2026 SEC Tournament.

Court, one featured a top ten matchup, with the Rebels able to even up doubles by way of No. 9 Andrea Nova and Emily Welker beating No. 6 Celia-Belle Mohr and Sophia Webster, 6-3.
The deciding match would come down to a tiebreaker between No. 11 Ray and Bridget Stammel and Riley Crowder and Alice Soulié. The Commodores were able to come through, winning 7-6 (7-3) to win the pivotal doubles point for Vanderbilt.
Moving into singles, the Commodores would extend their lead when No. 9 Stammel won her match against Soulié, 6-3, 6-2. Then No. 24 Mohr would take the early advantage, winning her first set, but No. 19 Welker would emphatically take back the match not losing another game, winning, 3-6, 6-0, 6-0. The Commodores would pull closer to victory with Yamakita's, 6-4, 6-4 win against Stagno.
The Rebels would prove that they would not go away, though, for Crowder would take down Erin Pearce, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5). Ichino Horikawa would then even up the score with a 7-5, 7-5, win against Webster.
