Lady Rebel Netters Down Kansas State

TUCSON, Ariz. - The No. 6 nationally-ranked Ole Miss women's tennis team won its second match of the spring as the Lady Rebels downed Kansas State 7-0 in the Arizona Invitational on Saturday.
Ole Miss will play Arizona in the championship match Sunday at 11 a.m. Arizona squeaked out a 4-3 win over San Diego on Saturday. The Lady Rebels will be going for their second consecutive sweep at the Arizona Invitational, as Ole Miss beat the Wildcats 5-4 in the final match last year.
In singles action for the Lady Rebels, third-ranked Agnes Muzamel downed Martina Pospisilova 6-1, 6-1. Celeste Frey, ranked 21st, cruised past Anna Pampoulova 6-0, 6-0. Frey improved her record to 20-7 and became the first Lady Rebel to win 20 matches this season.
Ivona Mihailova dominated Eva Novotna 6-1, 6-0, while Courtenay Chapman downed Chuda 6-2, 6-3. Mariana Eberle defeated Natalia Farmer 6-0, 6-3, and freshman Aleysa Ignatieva cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Jeominkova.
In doubles, Frey and Eberle defeated Pospisilova and Novotna 8-2; Muzamel and Chapman dominated Pampoulova and Jeominkova 8-0; and Mihailova and Mihailova downed Chuda and Farmer 8-3 to give the Lady Rebels the win.
