Lady Rebels Host Ole Miss Softball Classic

OXFORD, Miss - The Lady Rebel softball team will hold the Ole Miss Softball Classic this weekend at the Lady Rebel Softball Stadium on the Ole Miss campus. The Mississippi University for Women and Nicholls State will participate in the classic.
After a 20-46 record and a fifth-place finish in the Southeastern Conference Western Division last season, the 1998-99 softball squad will be led by first-year coach Candi Letts. Letts served the past five years as head softball coach at Colorado State University. In 1997, Letts guided CSU to a school record 51-win season, the 1997 WAC softball title, and a berth in the NCAA Regionals. Letts was awarded 1997 WAC Coach of the Year and West Region Coach of the Year honors. During her five seasons at CSU, Letts posted a record of 155-105-1. The following is the classic's schedule:
