Lady Rebels Place Six on SEC Academic Honor Roll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Ole Miss women's basketball team led the conference with six student-athletes named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, released Tuesday by Commissioner Roy Kramer.
Tayna Bolden, Jennie Gadd, Stephanie Murphy, Becky Myatt, Julianne Signaigo and Lesli Vollrath represent Ole Miss on the honor roll. It is Gadd's third time to be named to the honor roll and Vollrath's second.
Bolden has a 3.08 grade point average in Exercise Science, Gadd holds a 3.35 in Journalism, Murphy registers a 3.07 in Exercise Science, Myatt carries a 3.39 in Exercise Science, Signaigo owns a 3.64 in Exercise Science and Vollrath boasts a 3.72 in English. Vollrath has the third highest GPA in the conference. Both Gadd and Vollrath will graduate in May. Gadd plans to attend Law School in the fall.
A total of 43 student-athletes were named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher for either the past year or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for their career, be a sophomore or higher in academic classification and have 24 semester or 36 quarter hours toward a degree.
The Lady Rebels are preparing to play Kentucky in the first round of the SEC Tournament, Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the UTC Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn.
