Ole Miss Defeats Stetson in Volleyball

DELAND, Fla. - Kari Elggren recorded 17 kills and 18 digs to lead the Ole Miss volleyball team past Stetson 15-9, 15-8, 15-12 Saturday. The Lady Rebels improved to 9-15 on the year, while Stetson dropped to 8-12.
Anna Hackbarth added 11 kills for Ole Miss, while Danielle Atzinger chipped in 10 digs. Lauren Dorcheus and Kira Zschau had six kills each, and Dorcheus, Zschau and Jaime Burns each recorded eight digs.
Stetson was led by Miki Ford with 15 kills and 12 digs, followed by Taryn Lynn with nine kills and 18 digs. Amanda Lang notched 11 digs, and Lisa Gestewitz added 10.
Ole Miss returns to Southeastern Conference action Oct. 30 as the Lady Rebels travel to Auburn for a 7 p.m. match. Ole Miss is 2-7 in the SEC.
