OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss volleyball team will play its final home match of the season Thursday as the Lady Rebels host Mississippi State at 7 p.m. at the Women's Multi-Sport Complex. On Sunday, Ole Miss will travel to Mississippi State for its final regular-season match, a 12:30 p.m. contest televised by Fox Sports South.

Ole Miss, 9-20 overall and 2-11 in the Southeastern Conference, is led by junior Kari Elggren of Mesa, Ariz., with 402 kills, followed by junior Lauren Dorcheus of Houston, Texas, with 215 kills and sophomore Kira Zschau of Dunedin, Fla., with 211. Anna Hackbarth, a sophomore from Chaska, Minn., is fourth in kills with 193 and leads the team in hitting percentage with a .285.

Lisa Frannino, a junior from Metairie, La., leads the Lady Rebels in digs with 270, followed by Danielle Atzinger, a senior from Louisville, Ky., with 261 and Elggren with 257.

Dorcheus is first on the team in blocking with 92 total blocks. Frannino leads the team in assists with 989 and in service aces with 36.

Mississippi State, 7-19 overall and 3-10 in the SEC, is led by Christine Owen with 351 kills, followed by Melanie DiMuzio with 277 and Jill Ferguson with 259. DiMuzio leads the Bulldogs in digs with 305, followed by Owen with 249. Jenny Head leads MSU in assists with 1,045.

Ole Miss holds a 47-7 lead in the series with State. The Lady Rebels have won four in a row over MSU and seven of the last eight.

The outcome of the Lady Rebels' final matches will help determine their seeding in the SEC Tournament in Fayetteville, Ark., next week. Ole Miss could finish as high as third in the Western Division or as low as sixth, depending on the matches elsewhere in the SEC over the next week.

"These last two matches are huge," Ole Miss head coach John Blair said. "They are must- wins. It's not a matter of salvaging a season, it's a matter of showing we are a capable team."

The first 100 fans in attendance at the match Thursday will receive water bottles, and Ole Miss volleyball T-shirts will be thrown into the stands for every Lady Rebel ace. Fans will also have chances to participate in a trivia contest and compete for prizes between games. Following the match, members of the Ole Miss volleyball team will be available to sign posters for the fans.
