Ole Miss Opens Weekend Series with South Alabama

OXFORD, Miss. -- The Rebels will take on the South Alabama Jaguars on Friday at 3 p.m. at Oxford University/Swayze Field in the first of a three game series this weekend.
Ole Miss, 4-5, is coming off a two game split with Southeast Missouri State, while South Alabama, 5-4, defeated Jacksonville and the University of Alabama-Birmingham at the Coca- Cola Classic tournament in Mobile, Ala.
The Rebels enter the series hitting .314 as a team and are led by junior Michael Rosamond who is hitting .417 with one home run, five doubles and three triples.
The Jaguars, hitting .303 as a team, are led by sophomore Scott Calahan who is hitting .438 and has a team high nine runs batted in.
Game two of the series will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday and game three will began at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
