Ole Miss Softball Sweeps Nicholls State

OXFORD, Miss --Heather Swinney doubled twice and drove in three runs in leading the Ole Miss Rebels to a double-header sweep of Nicholls State on Sunday.
Swinney went 3-for-3 in game two and drove in three of the Rebels' four runs as Ole Miss beat the Lady Colonels 4-1. Jennifer Hughes struck out five in picking up her ninth win of the season.
In game one, Amanda Fine scattered five hits over seven innings and picked up her fourth shutout-win of the season as the Rebels beat Nicholls State 1-0. Stephanie Vaglica drove in Allison Willrath with a single in the fourth inning for the game's only run.
The Rebels (22-19 overall and 4-8 in the SEC) host SEC Western Division rival Alabama with two double-headers this weekend at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.
Game one on Friday, April 9, begins at 5 p.m. and game two at 7 p.m. Game one on Saturday, April 10, begins at 1 p.m. with game two slated for a 3 p.m. start.
