Ole Miss Volleyball Team Travels to Auburn and Alabama

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss volleyball team returns to Southeastern Conference action this weekend as the Lady Rebels travel to Auburn for a 7 p.m. match Friday and to Alabama for a 2 p.m. match Sunday.
Ole Miss, 9-15 overall and 2-7 in the SEC, is coming off a 1-1 weekend in Florida. The eighth-ranked Florida Gators defeated Ole Miss 3-0 last Friday, but the Lady Rebels picked up a 3-0 win over Stetson on Saturday.
The Lady Rebels are led by junior Kari Elggren of Mesa, Ariz., with 344 kills. Elggren is eighth in the conference in kills per game with 3.87. Lauren Dorcheus, a junior from Houston, Texas, is second on the team in kills with 185, and Kira Zschau, a sophomore from Dunedin, Fla., is third with 179.
Anna Hackbarth, a sophomore from Chaska, Minn., leads the Lady Rebels in hitting percentage with a .281, followed by Dorcheus with a .280 and Elggren with a .217.
Lisa Frannino, a junior from Metairie, La., leads Ole Miss in digs with 223, followed by Danielle Atzinger, a senior from Louisville, Ky., with 219 and Elggren with 217. The Lady Rebels are sixth in the SEC in digs per game with 14.98.
Dorcheus leads the team in blocks with 79, and Frannino leads the team in assists with 813 and in service aces with 32. Frannino is 10th in the conference in assists per game with 9.86.
Auburn is 16-6 overall and 5-4 in the conference. The Tigers are coming off a 3-1 loss to Kentucky and a 3-0 win over Tennessee last weekend.
Jaunelle Hamilton leads the Tigers with 345 kills, followed by Brooke McCarley with 339. Hamilton and McCarley are third and fourth, respectively, in the SEC in kills per game. Emily Suter leads Auburn in digs with 207. Hamilton leads the team in blocks with 100, which is fourth in the SEC in blocks per game. Piper Craig is first on the team and fourth in the conference in assists with 929.
Alabama is 11-12 overall and 1-8 in the SEC. The Crimson Tide dropped matches to Tennessee and Kentucky last weekend.
Michelle Green and Monica Morales lead Alabama in kills and digs. Green has 304 kills and 199 digs, while Morales has 273 kills and 186 digs. Green is seventh in the conference with 3.90 kills per game, while Allison Lange is seventh in the SEC in assists per game with 11.75.
Ole Miss has played both teams previously this season. The Lady Rebels lost to Auburn 3-0 on Oct. 18 but defeated Alabama 3-1 Oct. 16.
