Rebel Golfers Tied for Tenth Place

LAKELAND, Fla. - The Ole Miss men's golf team shot a 292 in the first round of the Charley Matlock Collegiate Classic at ImperiaLakes Golf and Racquet Club in Lakeland, Fla., on Friday and is tied for 10th place.
Alabama leads the tournament with a 277. The individual leader is Alabama's Jan Are Larsen with a 65.
Haymes Snedeker, a senior from Nashville, Tenn., and Jon Bartlett, a junior from Ocala, Fla., both shot a 72 to tie for 17th place. Sophomore Phil Caravia of Belleville, Ill., is tied for 28thplace with a 73.
Sophomore Troy Muller of Braithwaite, La., is tied for 48th place after shooting a 75, and Peter Pugh, a senior from Grenada, Miss., is tied for 82nd with an 80.
The tournament continues with the second round on Saturday and the final round Sunday.
