Softball Swept by Alabama in Double-Header

OXFORD -- Alabama's Kristi Frenier homered twice in leading the Crimson Tide to a double-header sweep of the Ole Miss Rebels Friday night in softball.
Ole Miss dropped to 22-21 overall and 4-10 in the SEC, while the Crimson Tide improved to 27-15 and 10-4.
In game one, Alabama put up two runs in the third inning and two more in the fifth on Frenier's home run as the Tide won 4-1. Heather Swinney scored the Rebels only run of the game on an error in the fourth inning.
In game two, the Rebels' stranded the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning to preserve a 2-0 victory by the Crimson Tide. Alabama picked up a run in the first inning on two Ole Miss errors and scored again in the seventh on Frenier's second homer of the night.
The two teams play another twinbill on Saturday at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. Game one will begin at 1 p.m. and game two at 3 p.m.
