Softball Takes on Mississippi State

OXFORD, Miss - The Ole Miss softball team opens Southeastern Conference play with two double-headers against in-state rival Mississippi State beginning Friday, March 19 at the Ole Miss softball complex.
First pitch for game one on Friday is scheduled for 5 p.m., and game one of the second double-header is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday. Game one of both double-headers will be broadcast live by WQLJ (93.7 FM) radio with Gary Darby calling the action.
The Rebels (16-11) are off to their best start ever and advanced to the semifinals of the Speedline Invitational in Tampa, Fla.
Mississippi State (15-10) enters the series riding a four game losing streak, but has won the last four meetings against the Rebels. The Bulldogs lead the all-time series against Ole Miss 3-5.
