Softball to Face Oxford Town Square in Fundraiser Event

OXFORD, Miss -- The Ole Miss softball team will play three exhibition games against a team fielded by local Oxford residents at the Ole Miss Softball Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 1. Three five-inning games will start at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30. A fourth game will be added if time permits.

Fastpitch softball rules will be in effect for both teams, and Ole Miss will provide the pitchers and catchers for each teams. There will be no bunting and no sliding. Approximately 30 local Oxford business people have signed up for the event, with the sign-up fees going toward funding the Ole Miss softball program. All fans are welcome to attend the event.
