OXFORD, Miss. - After five-straight days of two-a-days, the Ole Miss football went through just one practice Sunday afternoon.
The Rebels practiced for two-and-a-half hours working on special teams and spending time on the passing game. Fourth-year head coach Tommy Tuberville was pleased with Sunday's workout.
"We had a pretty good practice today," Tuberville said. "We had a lot of guys missing because of (school) orientation. We're coming to the end of two-a-days and we've some guys with some bumps and bruises. We've just got to try and keep everybody's focus and keep getting better."
The Rebels have two days of daily double practices left before classes begin Wednesday.
Ole Miss will host Memphis to kickoff the 1998 season on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 11:30 a.m. in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
