Women's Tennis Player Bows Out of NCAA Singles

OXFORD, Miss. - Agnes Muzamel of the Ole Miss women's tennis team bowed out of the NCAA Singles Championships Tuesday, falling to Martina Nedalkova of Virginia Commonwealth 7-5, 2-6, 7-5.

With the loss, Muzamel ends the season at 29-13. She is currently ranked 13th in the nation. Muzamel was making her third straight appearance at the NCAA Championships. Last year she advanced to the quarterfinals.

The Lady Rebels ended the season with a 17-6 overall record after a quarterfinal appearance in the NCAA Team Championships. They will conclude the season in the top 10 for the third year in a row.

As a result of being seeded at NCAAs, both Muzamel and Chapman have earned All-America honors. This is the third year in a row for Muzamel in singles and second in doubles, while Chapman earned the honor in doubles for the third consecutive year.
