Women's Volleyball Takes on Alabama and Auburn

OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss volleyball team returns to Southeastern Conference action this weekend as the Lady Rebels take on Alabama Friday at 7 p.m. and Auburn Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Women's Multi-Sport Complex in Oxford.

Ole Miss, 7-12 overall and 1-5 in the SEC, is coming off a 3-0 loss to Louisiana Tech Tuesday. The Lady Rebels are led by junior Kari Elggren of Sandy, Utah, with 258 kills, followed by junior Lauren Dorcheus of Houston, Texas, with 155. Anna Hackbarth, a sophomore from Chaska, Minn., is third on the team in kills with 127, and Kira Zschau, a sophomore from Dunedin, Fla., is fourth with 125 kills.

Danielle Atzinger, a senior from Louisville, Ky., leads Ole Miss in digs with 182, followed by junior Lisa Frannino of Metairie, La., with 170 and Elggren with 156.

Dorcheus leads the Lady Rebels in blocking with 69 total blocks, followed by Hackbarth with 52, Frannino with 45 and freshman Leigh Rittiner of New Orleans, La., with 43. Frannino also leads the team in assists with 628 and in service aces with 25.

Alabama is 11-8 overall and 1-4 in the SEC. Michelle Green leads the Crimson Tide with 256 kills and 160 digs, followed by Monica Morales with 224 kills and 160 digs.

Auburn, 13-5 overall and 2-3 in the SEC, comes to Oxford on Sunday at 2 p.m. Jaunelle Hamilton leads the Tigers with 272 kills, followed by Brooke McCarley with 268. Emily Suter leads the team in digs with 173.
