OXFORD, MIss. -- Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe praised his team's tempo and concentration after the Rebels wrapped up their final practice before Saturday's 7 p.m. kickoff against the Memphis Tigers.
"We had very good tempo today. We ran a lot of plays and a lot of players got some work, so I was please with that," Cutcliffe said. "Both sides of the ball seemed to be really focused."
The Rebels face a Memphis team that returns 18 starters from last season, including sophomore place kicker Ryan White who hit 16-of-16 field goal attempts in 1998.
"Memphis has got an outstanding kicking game and this is the best team they have had in recent years," Cutcliffe said. "Their starters are very athletic and it is going to be a challenge for us. Now is the time for us to get our minds right and go play."
This Saturday marks the 51st meeting between the Rebels and Tigers dating back to 1921. The game can be heard on the Ole Miss Radio Network with the pre-game show starting at 6 p.m. CST.
