Women's Soccer Blanks Jacksonville, 4-0

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss Lady Rebels improved to 4-0 on the season after shutting out Jacksonville (Fla.) University 4-0 Tuesday night.
Senior Amaris Weeks put the Lady Rebels on the board early in the first half with her second goal of the season and the score held at 1-0 at halftime.
Junior Jessica O'Neill opened the second half with a header off a corner kick from Regan Scanlon to put Ole Miss ahead 2-0. Jennifer Soileau followed with a goal five minutes later to give the Lady Rebels a 3-0 advantage.
Freshman Bridget Brooks closed the scoring off a penalty kick from Soileau for the final 4-0 victory.
The Lady Rebels' defense held Jacksonville to only three shots in each half and only two corner kicks.
"I am very pleased with the way we played tonight. Our goal is to improve every game and I think we have done that so far," Ole Miss head coach Steve Holeman said.
"We played hard from the start and Jacksonville never was never in the game. This start has been good for us and I think we are ready to open
The Lady Rebels begin Southeastern Conference play by taking on Arkansas in Fayetteville on Friday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. Ole Miss then travels to Baton Rouge for a 2 p.m. match against LSU on Sunday, Sept. 12.
