Lady Rebel Volleyball Closes Out Regular Season On The Road

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss volleyball team will close out the 2000 regular season on the road this weekend, when they travel to Auburn (13-13, 3-10) on Friday and Alabama (20-7, 9-4) on Sunday. Friday's match with Auburn will begin at 7 p.m., while Sunday's match at Alabama begins at 2 p.m. Ole Miss, currently 14-14 overall and 4-9 in SEC play, needs one win to clinch a spot in the SEC Tournament.

Seniors Renata Nowacki and Kira Zschau continue to lead the Lady Rebels to their most successful season since 1996 when they were 19-11 overall and 7-8 in conference action. Nowacki leads Ole Miss in assists with 1259 on the season, while Zschau leads the Lady Rebels in kills with 440 and digs with 352.

The Lady Rebels defeated Auburn 3-1 on October 8, in Oxford and lost to Alabama 0-3 on October 6 in their previous match-ups this season.
