OXFORD, Miss. - Season tickets for the upcoming 2000 baseball season are currently on sale at the Ole Miss Ticket Office, and fans will have the option of two ticket plans to choose from for this year's 33-game home schedule.
Seven teams that advanced to last year's NCAA Tournament highlight the Rebels' 2000 home schedule, including conference series with perennial Southeastern Conference powers Auburn (April 7-9), LSU (April 28-30) and Arkansas (May 12-14). Nationally-ranked Baylor is scheduled for a two-game midweek series March 7-8, and 1999 NCAA Tournament participants Southern Miss (March 14), Eastern Illinois (March 15) and Louisiana-Monroe (formerly NE Louisiana, April 4) are also scheduled to make appearances in Oxford this spring.
The ticket office has a plan for all 33 home games and one for all 15 SEC home contests.
Box seats for all 33 home games are being sold for $90 and reserved seats are $75.
A family plan is also being offered for all scheduled home games where fans can purchase a general admission seat for $30. A minimum of two seats, however, must be purchased in the family plan.
In the SEC ticket plan, box seats are $60 and reserved seats are $45.
To order season tickets or for more information on these plans, and on the new leftfield lounge area at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field, call the Ole Miss Ticket Office at 662-915-7167 or toll free in-state at 888-732-8587.
Tickets for individual games can be purchased on game day at the stadium or over the phone by calling the ticket office.
Ole Miss returns six position starters and two weekend starting pitchers from last year's NCAA regional team that finished 34-28 and established a new school record for SEC wins with 17. The Rebels are scheduled to open the 2000 season at home on Friday, February 11 against Nicholls State at 3:00 p.m., kicking off a season-opening, seven-game homestand.
