Ole Miss swept last year's series in Oxford, outscoring the Gators 28-9 and outhitting them 32-25.

SCOUTING FLORIDA: The Gators have won four of their last five after sweeping UMass last weekend and splitting a two-game series with Louisville on Tuesday and Wednesday ... AFTER 14 GAMES LAST YEAR: Ole Miss was 6-9 through 15 games in 1999 ... the Rebels were hitting .317 (172-543) with 25 HRs, 36 doubles, eight triples and 96 RBIs ... they had outscored the opposition 106-103 ... Ole Miss had stole 11 bases in 20 attempts and grounded into eight double plays ... Rebel pitchers had a 6.40 ERA (128.0 IP, 91 ER), allowing 131 hits, including 14 HRs, walked 71 and had struck out 97 ... Ole Miss had a .967 fielding percentage with 18 errors.

REBEL BULLET POINTS:

The Rebels have dropped three of their last five, including two in a row for the first time this season.

Baylor took two games from the Rebels on Tuesday and Wednesday to snap a string of 10 consecutive home series wins by Ole Miss dating back to 1998. The Bears also became the first non-conference opponent since Minnesota to win a series at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field in 1992.

Ole Miss is hitting .303 (46-152) in four road games this season with six HRs, compared to .332 (125-377) with seven HRs in 11 home games. Rebel pitchers have posted a 7.53 ERA (34.2 IP, 29 ER) away from home, and opponents are hitting .326 (46-141) against them with six HRs. Ole Miss has a 2.44 ERA (96.0 IP, 26 ER) at home and have held opponents to a .193 average (66-342) with two HRs.

The Rebels set a school record with 17 Southeastern Conference wins last season, bettering the old mark of 15 set by the 1972, 1977 and 1982 teams. Ole Miss also swept two SEC series for the first time since 1986, including a sweep of Florida at Oxford.
