Softball Takes Two Wins At Fresno State Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. - Jessica Hamilton's one-out single to left scored Amanda Lehotak for the game-winning run to cap a three-run rally in the bottom of the eighth inning for a 3-2 win over Florida State at the Fresno State Invitational Friday.
Ole Miss gave up two runs in the top of the eighth to FSU, but Lehotak tripled to rightfield to scored Rachel Davenport and Kara Chapman to set up Hamilton's game-winning hit.
Holly Burris picked up her fourth win of the season, allowing two runs on three hits with five strikeouts.
In game one, the Rebels put up two runs in the first inning and cruised to a 5-0 victory behind starting pitcher Jennifer Hughes.
Hughes held Cal Poly to four hits and did not allow a runner past second base in notching her third win of the season.
In the first inning, Allison Willrath and Kaci Coffee each drove in a run to put the Rebels on the board. Willrath drove in Amanda Lehotak with a fielder's choice and later scored on Coffee's double to center.
Ole Miss added a run in the second inning when Willrath singled in Jamie Cummings for a 3-0 advantage.
The Rebels put the game away with two runs in the fifth inning. Heather Swinney doubled to lead-off the inning and scored on Coffee's triple to right. Coffee later scored on a bunt by Mandy Shklar for a 5-0 victory.
The Rebels will take on No. 8 Fresno State at 7 p.m. in the last game on Friday.
