FRESNO, Calif. The Rebels found the going rough during the second day of the Fresno State Invitational, losing to No. 3 UCLA and being no-hit by Texas Tech.

Ole Miss falls to 2-3 at the Invitational and drops to 11-17 overall for the season.

In the first game of the day, Ole Miss pitcher Jennifer Hughes held the defending national champion Bruins in check through six innings. Hughes limited the high-powered Bruins to one run on three hits until the seventh inning.

UCLA then put up three runs on four hits and a Rebel error to seal a 4-0 win.

The Rebels threatened in the bottom of the fifth when Korrie Kashuba walked and Jamie Cummings reached on a fielder's choice to put runners on first and second with one out. After a double-steal, the Rebels had runners on second and third with one out, but were unable to score as the Bruins slammed the door on the scoring opportunity.

In game two, the Red Raiders' Amanda Renfro held Ole Miss hitless en route to a 1-0 victory. The no-hitter marked Renfro's third in three weeks and the second time the Rebels have been no-hit this season.

New Mexico no-hit the Rebels at the Texas A&M Aggie Classic on March 4.

The Rebels and Texas Tech were scoreless until the Red Raiders put up the game's only run in the top of the seventh. Paula Workman led-off the seventh with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly to left by Briana Nietert.

The Rebels will close out the Fresno State Invitational with a 9 a.m. game against Illinois State on Sunday. All game times are Pacific.
