Heavy Rains Force Cancellation of Wednesday's Baseball Game

OXFORD, Miss. - Heavy morning rains forced the cancellation of Wednesday's Ole Miss-Eastern Illinois baseball game scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field. The game will not be rescheduled.

The Rebels next game is Friday at 6:30 p.m. against Tennessee in the first of a three-game Southeastern Conference series. Saturday's game with the Volunteers is also at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday's series-finale is set for 1:30 p.m.

Ole Miss is 13-6 on the year and 2-1 in the SEC. The Rebels opened conference play last weekend by winning two-of-three games at Florida, and Ole Miss defeated Southern Miss 12-4 at home Tuesday in non-conference action.
