Last Time Out
The Rebels went 3-3 at the Fresno State Invitational last weekend. Ole Miss opened the tournament with a 5-0 win over Cal Poly, then defeated Florida State 3-2 in eight innings. The Rebels then lost their next three games, 2-0 to No. 8 Fresno State, 4-0 to No. 3 UCLA and 1-0 to Texas Tech. Ole Miss closed out the tournament with a 7-3 win over Illinois State.

Shklar Earns All-Tournament Honors
Senior shortstop Mandy Shklar led the way for the Rebels over the weekend, with a .385 average, 3 RBI, a triple, a double and a stolen base. For her effort, Shklar was named to the Fresno State Invitational All-Tournament team. It was the second time in her Ole Miss career Shklar has been named to an all-tournament team. The Owasso, Okla., native was named to the Speedline Invitational All-Tournament team in 1999.

Burris Gets Two at Fresno State
Freshman pitcher Holly Burris continued her strong play at the Fresno State Invitational, picking up two of the Rebels' three wins. Burris held Florida State to two runs, both unearned, on three hits with five strikeouts in a 3-2 win. The Memphis, Tenn., native then threw a two-hitter against Illinois State and did not allow an earned run in a 7-3 win. Burris also pitched two scoreless innings against Fresno State. Burris has not allowed an earned run in her last 24 innings of work and only six earned runs in her last 39 innings.

Ole Miss Opens SEC Play Against No. 24 Mississippi State
The Rebels open conference action this weekend against the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Starkville. The series is tied at 6-6, with the Bulldogs holding a 5-1 advantage in Starkville. Last season, the Rebels took three of four games from MSU in Oxford. The Rebels are 4-4 all-time in SEC openers and are 1-3 in road SEC openers.

SEC Leaders
Through the first half of the season six Rebels are ranked in the top 5 in three different categories. Defensively, freshman Amanda Lehotak is fourth at first base with a .988 fielding percentage, while Mandy Shklar leads SEC shortstops with a .944 percentage. Rachel Davenport has a .978 fielding percentage to lead all second basemen. Catcher Allison Willrath has thrown out eight potential base stealers to lead the SEC. Kaci Coffee currently leads the conference with 93 assists, while Shklar is third with 67. Offensively, Kaci Coffee is second in the SEC with three triples.
