OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss head football coach David Cutcliffe appeared pleased after Thursday's scrimmage held in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, which marked the 11th practice of spring drills.
"I'm really anxious to see the tape," Cutcliffe said. "You always have ups and downs, but I thought there was more competition between the offense and defense. We also got in some good practice work before the scrimmage."
Highlights from the scrimmage included a 10-yard pass interception return for a touchdown by defensive end Derrick Burgess, a 45-yard TD run by Deuce McAllister, and a 55-yard touchdown strike from Romaro Miller to L. J. Taylor.
The Rebels, who will work again on Saturday, have four practices remaining, including the April 1 Grove Bowl. Both practices next week leading up to the spring game will be closed to the public.
