Women's Basketball Star Frankie Boyd Invited To WNBA Camp

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss women's basketball senior Frankie Boyd has been invited to participate in the 2000 WNBA Pre-Draft Camp to be held April 13-15 at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Ill.

The Pre-Draft Camp will offer WNBA coaches and general managers the opportunity to evaluate the skills of prospective players in advance of the annual Draft on April 25. This year's camp will include college seniors, veterans with prior professional experience and international players.

Boyd, a 6-4 center, led the team in scoring and rebounding this year with an average of 13.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. She scored a career-high 27 points and 13 rebounds to lead Ole Miss to the Montana State Gran Tree Classic title and also earned tournament MVP honors. Boyd, a native of Ethel, Miss., earned the team's MVP Award at the annual banquet held Monday night.
