Meet Information

PARTICIPATING TEAMS: Arkansas-Little Rock, Arkansas State, Hinds CC, Jackson State, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Meridian CC, Ole Miss, Western Kentucky and many unattached / Elite / Olympic Hopefuls.

SITE: The Ole Miss Track and Field Complex, located off of Hill Drive, south of Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium.

DIRECTIONS: Exit Coliseum Drive off of Highway 6, turn north past the women's complex. At the four way stop, veer right onto Hill Drive , take the second right into the circle.

SCHEDULE: With the exception of those events listed with times all events will go by a running schedule.

FACILITY: The track is a eight lane track with pole vault pits and long jump run ways equipped to run both ways depending on wind direction. Throwing areas are located inside the track to include discus, hammer, shot put and javelin.

COMPETITION SURFACE: The track surface, long jump, high jump, pole vault and javelin runways are Martin Surfacing. One quarter inch spikes are recommended.The throwing circles are brushed concrete.

ENTRY FEE: $100.00 per team, Men and Women teams will be separate or $10.00 per individual per event. Checks should be made payable to The University of Mississippi. You may also pay when you arrive on Saturday.

ENTRY DEADLINE: All entries must be received by fax by 3:00 pm on Thursday. There will there be no scratches and declarations. What you send us will be final and entered so please enter what you plan to run. There will be no scratches and/or additions the day of the meet.

MEET FORMAT: In running events, sections by time will be run with each event to be a final. In field events the top nine will advance to final. In high jump, stating heights will be determined after review of entries.

SCORING: The meet will be dually scored with points distributed per NCAA handbook.

TIMING: Timing will be via Lynx System.

RULES: All NCAA rules apply.

PARTICIPANT/SPECTATOR ENTRY: There is open entry to all, spectators and athletes.

CHECK-IN: The Clerk of the Course will be set up at the starting line. Athlete's are responsible for their section/race. There will be no hesitations to run the section/race. Heat sheets will be posted .

HEAT SHEETS/RESULTS: Heat sheets will be in each teams packet, which will be available at 7:30am. They will also be posted on the big blue bulletin board on the North end of stands. Results will be posted after each event is final at the same place as the heat sheets. Final Results will be available through contacting Ole Miss Sports Information at www.OleMissSports.com.

IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN: All implements will be certified and weighed in at the shed during the following times,
Hammer 7:00-7:30am.
Javelin 9:30-10:00am
Discus 10:00-10:30am
Shot Put 9:30-10:30am
Implements will be impounded and taken to the site of competition one half hour prior to the start of the competition.
