Last Time Out
The Rebels went 2-2, splitting double-headers against Kentucky and Tennessee. Kentucky recorded its first victory over the Rebels with a 2-1 win in game one of the series. The win also extended the Rebels losing streak to a season-long 12 games. The Rebels ended that streak with a 3-1 win in game two. Ole Miss picked up its first-ever victory over the Lady Vols with a 4-1 win in game one. The Rebels had lost seven straight to Tennessee prior to the win.

The Rebels vs. Auburn
The Rebels are 4-8 all-time against the Tigers. Last season, Auburn swept all four games from the Rebels in Oxford. Ole Miss lost two of the four games after taking leads into the sixth inning. The Rebels are 3-1 all-time against the Tigers in Auburn.

In the Hunt
With 10 games remaining in the season, the Rebels find themselves in the eighth and final spot for the Southeastern Conference Tournament. The Rebels are 6-14 in the SEC and hold a half-game lead over Auburn (5-14) and Tennessee (5-14). The Rebels, who are looking for their first-ever SEC Tournament berth, close out the season at Florida and at home against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Auburn finishes out the season at home against Mississippi State and Georgia. The Lady Vols will end the year against Arkansas and Kentucky.

Shklar Leads the Way at the Plate
Senior Mandy Shklar continued her strong play at the plate with four hits in the Kentucky series. Shklar had her best game of the year in game two against the Wildcats, going 3-for-3 and scoring two runs. Shklar went 1-for-2 in game one to finish the series 4-for-5 (.800 average). Overall, Shklar has hit safely in 22 of the last 30 games (.303) including a nine game hit streak. Shklar went hitless in the double-header against Tennessee, marking the first time since March 11, against UCLA and Texas Tech, that she has gone hitless in consecutive games.

Hughes Sets Career Best
Junior pitcher Jennifer Hughes had a career-high 10 strikeouts in the Rebels' 3-1 victory over Kentucky Friday night. The 10 K's is the most by a Rebel this season and the most since Amanda Fine struck out 12 against MVSU in 1998. Hughes' previous best was eight strikeouts which she has recorded four times in her Rebel career.

Scoring Drought
The Rebels have struggled putting runs on the scoreboard this season, scoring five or more runs in only 10 of the 49 games played. The Rebels are hitting just .204 with runners in scoring position and just .250 with the bases loaded. Ole Miss has had 13 bases loaded situations this year, including nine times with less than two outs and managed to score only 10 runs in those 13 opportunities.

Letts Nears 200th Career Victory
Head coach Candi Letts needs only one victory to reach the 200-win plateau in her career. Letts got her 198th and 199th career wins this past weekend. The Rebels defeated Kentucky 3-1 on Friday night to give Letts her 198th win, and then defeated Tennessee 4-1 on Saturday to give her 199 wins. For her career, Letts has a record of 199-178-1 in seven years inlcuding a record of 44-70 in two years at Ole Miss.
