Ole Miss Conludes Eight-Game Road Trip Tuesday At Memphis

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss baseball team will conclude a stretch of eight straight road games Tuesday night when the Rebels travel to Memphis for a 7:00 p.m., game with the University of Memphis at Nat Buring Stadium.
Ole Miss will return home Wednesday for a 6:30 p.m., contest with the Austin Peay Governors. Wednesday's game will also be the annual Turn Back the Clock Night at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field. The Rebels will wear 1959 replica uniforms, and there will be a special $1 hot dog and drink combo sold at the stadium concession stands.
The Rebels are looking to finish their eight-game road trip with a 4-4 record. They are currently 3-4 on the road swing after dropping 2-of-3 at Alabama over the weekend. Burney Hutchinson hit two home runs and Jude Voltz also homered in Sunday's game as Ole Miss rallied from a 6-0 deficit for a 9-8 win to salvage the final game of the weekend series.
Junior right-hander Neil Hunt is expected to draw his first career start for the Rebels Tuesday night against Memphis. Hunt is 0-0 with a 4.08 ERA in seven apperances this season.
Freshman right-hander Matthew Miller is slated to start on the mound Wednesday against Austin Peay. Miller is 1-0 with a 3.24 ERA in eight appearances, including one start. He drew the start against Memphis on April 5 in Oxford, holding the Tigers scoreless in five innings of work to earn his first career victory.
Overall, the Rebels are 25-18 on the season, 9-11 in the SEC. They currently hold the eighth and final position for the SEC Tournament, to be held May 17-21 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Birmingham.
Memphis brings a 15-27 mark in Tuesday's contest with the Rebels, and the Tigers have lost four consecutive games after being swept at Houston this past weekend. Austin Peay is 22-22 and has won three straight after sweeping Tennessee Martin on the road this weekend in a Ohio Valley Conference series.
