Last Time Out
The Rebels split two double-headers with Auburn. Ole Miss won the first game of the series, but then lost the next two games. The Rebels took a 2-1 lead into the sixth inning of game two, but the Tigers rallied for three runs to take a 4-2 victory. Ole Miss tied a season-high with 12 hits in the final game of the series. The Rebels also tied a team-record with five doubles in the game en route to a 6-2 victory. This six runs was the most the Rebels have scored in a game since March 24, and only the 11th time this year they have scored five or more runs in a game.

The Rebels vs. Florida
Ole Miss is 0-4 all-time against the Gators. The Rebels were swept at home last year 3-0 and 9-6. Florida has outscored the Rebels 25-8 in the four games and has two shutouts. The two-game series was cancelled in 1997 due to rain.

In the Hunt
With just two weeks till the end of the regular season, the Rebels find themselves one game out of the eighth spot for the SEC Tournament. The Rebels entered last weekend with a half-game lead over Auburn for the final tournament seed, but a four-game split coupled with Georgia's four-game sweep over South Carolina put the Bulldogs one game ahead of the Rebels. Georgia currently stands at 7-13 in the SEC, while the Rebels are 8-16.

Rebels Tie Doubles Mark
The Rebels ripped five doubles in their 6-2 victory over Auburn on Saturday to tie the team single-game mark set in 1997 against LSU. Freshman catcher Phyllis Manley had two doubles in the game, both of which drove in a run, while Amanda Lehotak, Heather Swinney and Jamie Cummings each had one. The Rebels had 12 hits overall in the game which tied the season-high. Ole Miss also had 12 hits against Kansas and Mississippi State.

Manley Rips the Tigers
Freshman catcher Phyllis Manley had her best game of the season in the final game against Auburn. The Southaven, Miss., native went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs batted in and scored a run. It was Manley's first three-hit performance and her second multiple RBI game. For the series, Manley finished 5-for-13 (.385).

Hughes Shuts `Em Down
Junior Jennifer Hughes continued her dominant pitching over the weekend as she recorded both of the Rebels' wins against Auburn. In the first game of the series, Hughes took a no-hitter into the bottom of the seventh inning before a lead-off single up the middle broke up the no-hit bid. Hughes only allowed two batters to reach base through the first six innings (both hit by pitch) and only one to reach second base. Hughes allowed just three hits for the game with no earned runs, no walks and nine strikeouts. Hughes followed that up with a four-hit win in the final game of the series.

Stranded
Although the Rebels managed to split the four-game series against the Tigers, Ole Miss missed several opportunities to put runs on the board. The Rebels stranded 27 runners on base in the four games, including nine runners in a 6-0 loss in game three. In addition, the Rebels have stranded at least five or more runners on base in 10 of the last 15 games and have a 4-11 record in those games with six of those losses by two runs or less. Ole Miss is hitting .205 with runners in scoring position.

Burris Loses Another Close One
Friday's 4-2 loss to Auburn marked the fifth time in her last eight starts freshman pitcher Holly Burris has lost a game by two runs or less. Although Burris has lost eight straight (five of those to Top 25 teams) and has a 4.03 ERA in those games, the Rebels have not provided much run support. Ole Miss has not scored more than three runs in any of those eight games and has only scored more than one run three times in that span. In addition, the Rebels have stranded 44 runners on base and committed seven errors in those eight games.
