OXFORD, Miss. - Senior Chad Hill collected a career-high four hits to lead a 13-hit Ole Miss attack as the Rebels downed Arkansas 12-5 Saturday evening at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field, evening the Southeastern Conference series at 1-1.

More importantly, Ole Miss stayed a half-game ahead of Kentucky for the eighth and final spot to next week's SEC Tournament in Birmingham, Ala. The Rebels can clinch a spot to the tournament with either a win Sunday afternoon or a Wildcat loss to Vanderbilt.

Ole Miss starter Joey Cramblitt (5-8) overcame a shaky start to throw a complete-game to earn the win. He allowed five runs in the first three innings, but held the Razorbacks scoreless the rest of the way. Cramblitt tied a career-high with eight strikeouts.

The Rebels scored three runs in the bottom of the third to take a 7-5 lead. Kris Cox's RBI single scored Justin Huisman to tie the game, and Chad Hill scored on a wild pitch by reliever Cliff Lee to give Ole Miss a 6-5 lead.

Riethmaier (2-5) was charged with the loss, allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks in 2 1/3 innings of work.

Burney Hutchinson hit his 10th home run in the win, a two-run blast in the first to tie the game at 2-2.

Scott Crossett went 3-for-5 for Arkansas to extend his career-best hitting streak to 11 games.

The two teams will conclude the three-game series Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Junior right-hander Ronnie Goodwin (2-2, 4.46 ERA) is scheduled to start for Ole Miss against Arkansas' sophomore left-hander Jared Manatt (2-2, 5.36 ERA).
