Baseball Has Nine Players Make SEC Academic Honor Roll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A school record nine members of the 2000 Ole Miss baseball team were named to the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll Tuesday by SEC Commissioner Roy Kramer. Named to the honor roll were: sophomore Clint Farrar, junior Ronnie Goodwin, sophomore Nathan Lyons, senior Jude Voltz, senior Joey Cramblitt, junior Ryan Davis, junior Jon Dickens, senior Ben Edwards, and senior Bailey Patridge.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must: 1) have a 3.0 grade point average for either the past year (two semesters or three quarters) or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for their career, 2) be a sophomore or higher in terms of academic classification, and 3) have 24 semester or 36 quarter hours toward a degree.
Cramblitt, Edwards, and Voltz are three-time selections to the honor roll, having also earned the distinction in 1998 and 1999. Davis, Dickens and Patridge are two-time selections after also being named to the team last year.
The previous school record for the most selections to SEC Academic Honor Roll was eight, set last year.
