Softball Falls To Arkansas In Doubleheader

OXFORD, Miss. - The Arkansas Lady Razorbacks put up four runs in the top of the 11th inning for a 7-3 victory in game two to sweep a softball double-header from the Ole Miss Rebels Thursday night.
The Rebels end the season with a 21-41 overall record and an 8-22 mark in the Southeastern Conference. Arkansas finishes the season at 41-27 overall and 19-11 in the SEC.
In game two, the Rebels fell behind 1-0 in the first inning but tied the game with a run in the bottom of the third inning.
Neither team scored until the eighth inning when the Lady Razorbacks put up two runs for a 3-1 lead.
Jamie Cummings struck out to begin the bottom of the eighth inning, but Amanda Lehotak singled for her record-tying fourth hit of the game. After Mandy Shklar struck out for the second out of the inning, Heather Swinney singled to move Lehotak to second base.
Kaci Coffee then loaded the bases after reaching on a fielder's choice. Allison Willrath then singled to right field to bring in Lehotak and Swinney to tie the game at 3-3. Korrie Kashuba then struck out to end the inning.
In the top of the 11th, the Lady Razorbacks plated four runs for a commanding 7-3 lead. Pitcher Tammy Kincaid, who also won game one, retired the Rebels in order to end the game.
In game one, Kincaid took a perfect game into the bottom of the seventh inning before a single by Lehotak broke up the bid.
The Lady Razorbacks put up four runs in the second inning and added another run in the seventh for the 5-0 victory.
