OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe was very pleased with his football team's effort as the Rebels concluded their second day of two-a-day, full-squad practices on Friday. The team had a two-hour morning workout followed by another two-hour practice in the evening.
"I thought we got a lot of good work in today," Cutcliffe said. "The guys worked real hard and had a lot of zip."
Working in shorts, shoulder pads and helmets, the Rebels continued working on offensive and defensive non-contact drills and also got some work done on the kicking game.
"We got a lot of different areas covered today," Cutcliffe said, "We got a lot done on the kicking game and also continued our work on both sides of the ball."
The Rebels will head to the practice fields for another two-a-day workout tomorrow, as they prepare for their season-opener on Sept. 2 against Tulane. Kickoff for the first game of the 2000 season is set for 11:35 a.m., and will be aired by Jefferson-Pilot.
