Question for Deuce McAllister:
As a Heisman candidate and in the spotlight the way you are, what advice would you give an aspiring high school athlete who wants the same degree of success on the field, in the classroom, weight room, etc.?
-- Alvin Pearman, team captain & running back, Charlotte County Day School, Charlotte, NC
Answer from Deuce:
"The basic thing is carry yourself to a higher degree than anyone would expect of you. You have put yourself in the spotlight, so always expect criticism to come, but don't let it bother you, because you have to deal with yourself. As far as the classroom and weight room goes, treat those things as if they were a game. You don't like to lose, right? So why settle for second in those areas as well. God Bless!"
