OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss continued two-a-days Tuesday with a two-hour, full-pad practice in the morning, followed by a non-contact workout in the evening.

Second-year head coach David Cutcliffe was pleased with the tempo of the evening practice as the Rebels prepare to begin working on game situations later in the week.

"I thought it was good work in preparing for what I hope is some good situational work Wednesday," said Cutcliffe. "We're going to get some live situational work done (Wednesday) morning so I wanted our work tonight to be crisp. I thought we moved fast and that's what I wanted to see. We tried to pick-up the tempo going in and out of the huddle and we responded to that."

Junior running back Joe Gunn suffered a mild concussion in the morning practice and did not work out in the evening. He was admitted to Baptist Memorial Hospital -- North Mississippi in Oxford, where he spent the night under observation. He is expected to rejoin the team on Wednesday.

College Sports Central, an original cable nightly news show produced by College Sports Southeast, will broadcast live from Oxford this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The hour-long program will preview the Rebels' 2000 season and will include interviews with head coach David Cutcliffe, defensive coordinator Art Kaufman and offensive coordinator John Latina. CSSE can be seen in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Meet the Rebels Day will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in The Grove. Fans are invited to come out to meet the Ole Miss players and coaches, however, due to the expected large crowd, fans will be limited to one autograph per player and coach.

"I think it is going to be really exciting," Cutcliffe said. "A year ago it was phenomenal with the crowd that we had for Meet the Rebels. I think it is going to be great in The Grove. It's a great setting and I know our players are looking forward to it."
