OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss continued two-a-day practices in humid conditions on Wednesday. The Rebels held a two-hour, full-pad workout in the morning and a non-contact session in the evening.

Head coach David Cutcliffe said his squad fought hard in the hot weather, as the team worked on skills as well as some game situations.

"It was a tough day heat wise, but we got through it," Cutcliffe said. "Looking back at both sessions, it was a good workout for us.

"We dropped too many passes today. We need to get more consistent in that area. The receivers are banged up a little, but we should be good by Saturday."

College Sports Central, an original cable nightly news show produced by College Sports Southeast, will broadcast live from Oxford this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The hour-long program will preview the Rebels' 2000 season and will include interviews with head coach David Cutcliffe, defensive coordinator Art Kaufman and offensive John Latina. CSSE can be seen in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Meet the Rebels Day will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in The Grove. Fans are invited to come out to meet the Ole Miss players and coaches. However, due to the expected large crowd, fans will be limited to one autograph per player and coach.
