Lady Rebel Volleyball Downs Nicholls State, 3-0

OXFORD, Miss. - The Lady Rebel volleyball squad defeated Nicholls State, 15-8, 15-6, 15-6, on Friday, in their opening match of the Memphis Invitational.
Ole Miss used a balanced attack in defeating the Lady Colonels as 10 different players recorded kills. Leading the way for the Lady Rebels were juniors Jaime Burns and Leigh Rittiner and sophomore Sarah Lansden. Burns tallied six kills and four digs. Rittiner posted five kills and four digs, while Lansden added five kills and nine digs.
Senior setter Renata Nowacki tallied 14 assists and six digs and freshman Jade Polonich added 12 assists off the bench for Ole Miss.
The Lady Rebels will return to action Saturday, when they face Syracuse at 11:30 a.m., before facing host Memphis at 7:30 p.m. to close out the tournament.
