Lady Rebels Advance At Roberta Allison Fall Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - While two members of the Ole Miss women's tennis team were competing in the National Clay Courts, the rest of the team is at Alabama participating in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic.

All five Lady Rebels won their opening round matches. Freshman Hanna-Kathri Aalto blanked Stanka Ilkova of Samford 6-0, 6-0 in the B Draw singles. She will face Ana Moura of Washington State University in the second round Saturday.

In the C draw, junior Alesya Ignatieva downed Cynthia Oulevay of Tennessee-Chattanooga, 6-1, 6-0. She will play Mississippi State's Linda Mattson in the second round. Karem Harboe, another freshman, defeated Joyce Bergman of Tulane 7-6, 6-2 in the D Draw. She will meet Yumi Ueda of Mississippi State in the second round.

In the F draw, Camilla Gould beat Annie Rapp of Houston 6-3, 6-2 and will play Marcela Kotesovcova of South Alabama in the second round. Freshmen Audra Adams cruised to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Siobhan Byrne of Arkansas State and faces Alabama's Becca Baum.

The 15th annual tournament features players from 13 teams including SEC schools Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
