FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Ole Miss men's and women's track teams competed against conference rivals Arkansas, Florida and Vanderbilt this weekend at the SEC Quad hosted by Arkansas. Texas also competed on the men's side.

Senior Teneeshia Jones continued her early season successes as she won the 60-meter dash (7.40) and the 60-meter high hurdles (8.40) and got third place in the 200-meter dash (24.60). Jones, a Shannon, Miss, native, provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 60-meter high hurdles with her preliminary time of 8.28. Jones already automatically qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 60 meters at last week's Saluki Booster Invitational.

Senior Brandy Barnett won her second high jump competition of the season as she cleared 5-9.75. Senior Willette Woods placed third in the 400-meter dash (58.10) and fourth in the 200-meter dash (24.77). Senior Monica Barnett got third in the triple jump (35-5) and junior Monique McClure placed fourth in the shot put (42-2).

On the men's side senior Savante' Stringfellow led the way. Stringfellow got second in the 200-meter dash (21.70) and fourth in the 60-meter dash (7.00). Sophomore James Shelton placed second in the 60-meter dash (6.82) and freshman Kendrick Triggs got fourth in the 200-meter dash (21.77).

Senior Lawrence Wade finished third in the 400 meters (49.01) and was followed by senior Aaron Fenzel (49.33) and freshman Damon Harris (49.36) in the standings. Stacy Andrews took second place in the weight throw (59-0.75).

The Rebels 4x400-meter relay team took first place and the distance medley relay team finished second.

Ole Miss will hit the road again next weekend as both squads travel to Jonesboro, Ark., for a meet at Arkansas State on January 27.
