Mira Radu Reaches Consolation Semifinals At National Indoor

DALLAS - Mira Radu of the Ole Miss women's tennis team reached the consolation semifinals of the Omni Hotels National Indoor Championships Friday, at the Brookhaven Country Club.

Radu, who lost her opening round match to 10th-ranked Gabriel Lastra of Stanford, rebounded to take out Boise State's Helen Lawson 6-1, 6-2. She later defeated 13th-ranked Janet Bergman of Wake Forest 6-2, 1-6, 6-2 to advance to the semifinals, where she will face Harvard's Courtney Bergman Saturday. Radu, now 18-7 on the year, posted her sixth win over a nationally-ranked player this fall.
