**THE LONGEST OVERTIME GAME IN NCAA HISTORY**
ARKANSAS 58, OLE MISS 56

Tonight's game lasted seven overtime periods, the longest in NCAA history for all divisions. Prior to tonight, there had been four games involving NCAA Division I-A teams that lasted four overtime periods, and three games with NCAA Division I-AA teams that lasted six overtimes:

* Game was tied at 17 after regulation as Ole Miss tied the score on Eli Manning's 3-yard TD pass to Jason Armstead with 4:50 left in the fourth quarter.
* The two teams scored a combined 80 points in the seven overtime periods - an NCAA Division I record.

RECORDS SET DURING TONIGHT'S GAME

NATIONAL RECORDS- BOTH TEAMS
* The 80 combined points scored in the seven overtime periods breaks the NCAA Division I (I-A or I-AA) record for the most combined points scored in overtime. Division I-AA Florida A&M (39) and Hampton (38) scored 77 points in their six overtime game on Oct. 5, 1996. The I-A mark was 49 set by set by Georgia (28) and Auburn (21) on Nov. 16, 1996.
* The 198 total plays breaks the NCAA Division I-A mark of 196 set by San Diego State (99) and North Texas (97) on Dec. 4, 1971.

NATIONAL RECORDS- OLE MISS
* Ole Miss tied the NCAA Division I-A record for the most points scored by a losing team with 56. Purdue also scored 56 in a 59-56 loss to Minnesota on Oct. 9, 1993 - a game played before Division I-A adopted the current overtime format in 1996. The most points scored ever by a losing team in an NCAA game at any level was 63, by Southwest State in a 65-63, four-overtime loss to Bemidji State on Oct. 7, 2000.

NATIONAL RECORDS- ARKANSAS
* Arkansas' 41 points scored during overtime broke the NCAA Division I record for most points scored in overtime. Division I-AA Florida A&M held the mark with 39, set against Hampton on Oct. 5, 1996. Georgia held the I-A mark with 28 in the Bulldogs' 56-49, four-OT win over Auburn on Nov. 16, 1996.

SEC RECORDS
* The 114 total combined points marks the highest-scoring game in SEC history, breaking the previous mark of 105 set by Georgia (56) and Auburn (49)in their four-OT game in 1996.
* Arkansas' 106 total plays breaks the SEC single-game record of 105 set by Georgia against Kentucky in 1967.

OLE MISS SCHOOL RECORDS
* QB Eli Manning finished with six TD passes to break his own school single-game record of five set in the season opener against Murray State. The six TD passes was one shy of the SEC record set four times previously, most recently by Kentucky's Tim Couch against Louisville in 1998.
* Junior WR Jason Armstead caught three TD passes to tie the school single-game record held by Johnny Brewer (1960 vs. Tulane), Louis Guy (1962 vs. Houston), Pat Coleman (1989 vs. Arkansas State), and Chris Collins (2001 vs. Murray State).
* The 7 rushing TDs by Arkansas tonight tied the Ole Miss record for the most rushing TDs allowed in a game. Tennessee scored 7 rushing TDs against Ole Miss on Nov. 17, 1951, and Alabama on Sept. 20, 1980.
