ORLANDO, Fla. - ,,For the second day in a row, the Ole Miss women's basketball team streaked out to a 17-point halftime lead. This time, however, they managed to not only keep the lead, but extended it to as much as 41 points before finishing the game with a, 79-53, win over the host Central Florida (6-5).

Ole Miss (7-4) came out gunning, as Ally Kelly hit a three-pointer on the Lady Rebels' first possession of the game. Marvelous Washington scored for the Golden Knights two minutes into the game to close the margin to one. It was as close as UCF would get for the rest of the game.

The Lady Rebels, who squandered a 17-point halftime lead in a loss to South Alabama on Friday, used balanced scoring as 10-of-13 players that played scored, in the game. Sherika Wright led four Ole Miss players in double figures with 16 points. Wright also had five assists, two steals and no turnovers on the night.

In addition to Wright, Kelly (14), Carletta Brown (11) and Amber Watts (10) each scored in double figures. Von Kirk added eight points and TaShondrea Moton and Saundra Jackson each chipped in six.

Ole Miss out-rebounded UCF 53-31 behind Moton's career-high 10 rebounds. Kayla Madewell came off the bench to grab six boards and Jackson, Tenisha Gist and Elizabeth Cansdale each snagged five caroms.

The Lady Rebels made 29-of-72 shots from the field, good for 40.3 percent. They hit 8- of-22 three points shots and 13-of-23 free throws. Ole Miss dished out 16 assists and collected 10 steals.

Central Florida made 19-of-50 shots from the field, including 7-of-14 from the free throw line. The Golden Knights turned the ball over 25 times. Lanetra Cooks came off the bench to lead UCF with 24 points. Cooks made 7-of-12 three point baskets.

Ole Miss will head to their respective homes for the holidays, before regrouping to play in the Temple University Classic Dec. 30-31, in Philadelphia, Pa.
