The Livingston, Ala., native fired a four day 72-73-71-70-286 to finish two strokes from the title. The third and fourth round scores were both under par on the par-72 course.

Spruiell also finished in the top five in four of the five tournaments he as competed in this season, with a best performance of 72-67-68-207 coming in the Shelton State Fall Classic, where he finished 6-under-par. In high school, Spruiell was the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) champion in 1999.

In addition to his accomplishments on the course, Spruiell has also performed well in the classroom as he has been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa academic honor society with a 3.57 grade point average.

Ole Miss also added high school senior Chris Rogers of Franklin, Tenn., to the roster for the fall. Rogers finished fourth at the AJGA Tournament in Rome, Ga., and eighth at the AJGA Tournament in Mobile, Ala. Rogers has also been named to the All-State First Team and finished fifth at the Tennessee State High School Tournament.
