MONTRENES NAMED SEC PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Junior RHP Pete Montrenes was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week Monday by the league office. He pitched six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks, while striking out a career-high 10 during his last start, a 1-0 victory over SE Missouri State this past Saturday. In 12 innings during two starts this season, Montrenes hasn't allowed a run. He is 2-0 with 17 strikeouts to only four walks, and opponents are hitting .105 against him.
IN THE POLLS: Ole Miss received six votes in this week's Baseball Weekly/ESPN Coaches Top 25 to finish tied for 18th among "Other Receiving Votes."
ARIZONA GAME TIME CHANGE: Ole Miss' game on Sat., March 3 versus Arizona in Oxford has been changed from 1 p.m. to 11:30 a.m., due to the Ole Miss-Alabama men's basketball game scheduled for 3 p.m., at Tad Smith Coliseum.

LAST TIME OUT: Burney Hutchinson's sacrifice fly in the 12th inning to score Clint Farrar lifted Ole Miss an 8-7 win Saturday afternoon. The Rebels also won the series-opener 14-4 on Friday. Nick Bradshaw pitched four innings of relief to earn his first career win. He allowed two runs on three hits and two walks. Ole Miss led the 3-0 before Louisiana Tech scored four runs in the eighth to take a 4-3 lead into the ninth. The Rebels plated two in the ninth, before the Bulldogs scored a run in the bottom half of the inning to send the game into extra innings. Ole Miss scored two in the 11th to take a 7-5 lead, but Craig Montgomery hit a two-run home run in the 11th to even the score again at 7-7.
SERIES INFO: Today's game marks the 35th all-time meeting between the Rebels and Bulldogs dating back to 1912 ... Ole Miss leads the series 25-9 ... The Rebels have won five straight in the series, including sweeping last year's three-game series in Oxford ... This weekend's games are the first between the two schools in Ruston since the Bulldogs won 1-0 in 1990 ... Ole Miss is 14-6 versus La. OLE MISS VS. THE SUN BELT: Louisiana Tech is the second team from the Sun Belt Conference Ole Miss has faced this season. The Rebels are 4-1 versus the Sun Belt Conference this season, winning 2-of-3 from Arkansas-Little Rock to start the season (2/10-12) and winning the first two games of this weekend's series against Louisiana Tech. All-time, Ole Miss is 112-58 (.700 winning percentage) versus teams that currently compete in the conference. Last year, the Rebels went 6-2 against the Sun Belt, sweeping three games from Louisiana Tech, winning 2-of-3 at South Alabama, defeating Arkansas State (4-3), and losing to Arkansas-Little Rock (5-4).
