OXFORD, Miss. - Burney Hutchinson hit a two-out, two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game at 5-5 just before heavy rains forced the contest to be called a tie after the inning. It marked the first time Ole Miss had played to a draw since 1989 when the Rebels tied Vanderbilt 9-9 in Nashville.

Hutchinson finished the night 2-for-3 with a career-high four RBI to pace the Rebels at the plate. Trailing 5-1 in the fourth, Hutchinson laced a two-out double down the left field line to plate two runs and pull the Rebels to within 5-3.

Gordon Dugan was in the position to earn the win after allowing three runs on four hits and five walks in four innings of work.

Murray State (11-7-1) jumped on Rebel starter Nathan Lyons for five, first-inning runs as the Thoroughbreds sent 10 batters to the plate.

Lyons faced nine batters, allowing five runs, three earned, on five hits in 2/3 of an inning.

Jon Dickens then came on in relief and allowed just one hit in 4 1/3 innings.

Ole Miss (15-5-1) will next travel to Auburn for a three-game Southeastern Conference series beginning Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
